Sounds of Nature in Music
During a “cross-program” presentation at the 2013 Smithsonian Folklife Festival, participants demonstrated the influence of nature on their musical traditions.
Tuvan musician Aldar Konstantinovich Tamdyn used his voice and the igil, a traditional bowed instrument, to imitate the natural sounds of Southern Siberia.
